KEYSER, W.Va. (WV News) — Halfway through his second employment contract with Mineral County Schools, superintendent Troy Ravenscroft received another positive performance evaluation Tuesday from the board of education.
Ravenscroft was due for a review Tuesday, and met with board members in closed session during the regular BOE meeting.
Following the executive session, the board issued the following statement:
“The Board of Education unanimously concurred that Mr. Ravenscroft met and/or exceeded his annual goals as well as the performance evaluation standards set forth by the West Virginia superintendent evaluation form.
“The board commended the superintendent on his leadership, progress, and direction of the new Frankfort Elementary School. In addition, the board commended the superintendent for his effective communication of the intricacies of the instructional and assessment processes.
“We look forward to our continued partnership as we strive for the excellence in education for all students of Mineral County Schools.”
Ravenscroft has served as superintendent of Mineral County School since 2019, when he was hired on a three-year contract. That contract was renewed for four years in 2022.
